The Company raising money for the Anti-Slavery International, founded in 1839, is the world's oldest international human rights organisation and the only charity in the United Kingdom to work exclusively against slavery and related abuses.
The  Company dance event is to explore the relationship between Modern/Contemporary dance techniques and the traditional Middle Eastern dance form Raks Sharki. The creative emphasis is on the structural and mathematical elements that comprise each dance style. The desired aim is the development of a new and innovative movement language. This experimental approach will be presented in dance performances that will both entertain and challenge a wide diversity of audiences from all cultural origins.
